A strong concept. A foreign market. The wrong sequencing.
A UK-based operator was preparing to launch a boutique cycling retreat in the French Alps. The concept was strong. The cycling market for this kind of high-end, experience-led product was well established. The founder had the passion, the knowledge and the commercial intent.
But the path to launch had not been sequenced correctly. French regulatory and compliance requirements had not been fully mapped. The offer had not been defined with the precision required to attract and convert the right clients at the right price. There was a risk of launching before the business was ready, which in a trust-dependent hospitality market carries long-term reputational cost.

Sequenced the launch correctly, navigated compliance and sharpened the offer.
The engagement ran across Private Advisory and Leadership Development. The commercial and operational launch work ran alongside leadership development because launching a hospitality business in a foreign market requires a particular kind of operational confidence that does not come automatically from product knowledge alone.
On the advisory side, French compliance requirements were mapped in full. The regulatory landscape for operating a commercial hospitality business in France was navigated systematically so that the business launched with the right legal and operational foundations in place.
The offer was sharpened. Package design, pricing and positioning were rebuilt to reflect the expectations of the target client and the competitive landscape of the premium cycling retreat market. Launch sequencing was redesigned so that the business opened when it was operationally and commercially ready, not simply when the founder was eager to begin.
